CHARLOTTE — With just hours to go until San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro’s historic keynote address at the Democratic National Convention here, the Obama campaign posted a video online highlighting Castro’s mother, who he credits as the foundation of his political career. Castro also talks at length about his grandmother, who emigrated to San Anotino from Mexico.
“I have seen in my family the promise of America,” Castro says in the video. “If you ensure and oppurtunity for everyone, the American dream is still possible.”
