Georgia Man Accidentally Shot Cousin To Death When Gun Fell From Lap

A Macon, Georgia man accidentally shot his cousin in the back when his gun slipped from his lap on Friday, according to the Associated Press.

Dominick Kantrel Howell was sitting behind his cousin in a parked car when he removed a handgun from his waist band. When the gun slipped from his lap, Howell tried to catch it and accidentally pulled the trigger, fatally shooting his cousin, Cedric Recardo Patrick Jr., according to the AP.

Howell admitted to involuntary manslaughter, according to the Bibb County sheriff’s office.
