A Michigan woman on Monday accidentally shot herself in the face after she slammed the butt of a shotgun on the floor of a Waterman, Mich. home, which caused it to discharge, according to MLive.

The woman told police that during a family dispute she took out the gun in order to “make a point.”

She was taken to a local hospital and is expected to recover, according to MLive. The incident is still under investigation.
