TPM reader snaps a shot of voters in Minnesota
“Sunset District in San Francisco. Only five people in line at 7:00am, but for this profoundly apathetic neighborhood, that’s more than we usually get by 9:00! Shamed by a recent transplant from Minneapolis who was in line ahead of us and appalled by the low turnout.”

“My eight-year-old son and I went to the poll in Los Angeles right when it opened at 7:00 am. The line was around the block, but it moved quickly – we were in and out in half an hour. While we waited in line, I explained to my son all the ballot propositions. We glossed right over the county proposition requiring porn stars to wear condoms. Not ready to explain that one to my son at 7:00 in the morning.”
“No drama, no lines. I was in and out in less than five minutes. Voting in Illinois is blessedly boring.”
