“Here is a pic-stitch documentation of voting in the Silver Lake district of Los Angeles at around 8:00am. Definitely a VERY pro-Obama area, but tons of Props on the docket so turnout seemed high. Waited over an hour in line. The poll workers were amazing and courteous and moved things along as fast as possible! Contrasted with most places in the country today, LA is in the middle of a little heat wave right now, so it was around 75-80 degrees at 8am!”
“I love the many different languages at my polling station at Atwater Village elementary school in LA.”
“From Howson Public Library, Austin, Texas. The line is out the door and around the building. Apparently, one voter had health issues. That’s why the fire truck just drove up. But this didn’t cause the line. Three other polling places I saw had the same lines.”
“Please find attached a photo of my lovely bride & I voting in delightful Princeton Jct., NJ.
Voting here was slow but enthusiastic, bearing in mind that our community was hit somewhat hard by the so-called super-storm. As a schoolteacher & a Public Defender respectively, we were out of work for a full week & are just barely returning to our regular lives just today. Many in the surrounding area were without power until yesterday & more than a few polling places had to be relocated or consolidated.”
“My daughters holding signs at our polling station in Holyoke, MA. Let’s not forget the local races!”
