I wrote this morning about how key influencers in the modern conservative movement basically take their cues from Alex Jones, and Jones, in turn, expanded his influence by lining up behind Donald Trump’s 2016 candidacy — putting the conspiracy-mongering outsider in the odd position of supporting what was, for a time, the United States’ ruling elite.
