In the midst of the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, newly-minted Republican nominee Donald Trump is tied with Hillary Clinton, 44-44, in a Suffolk University poll of likely Ohio voters.

When pitted against third party candidates, Clinton comes out ahead, 43-39, with Libertarian Gary Johnson reaching 5 percent support and Green Party candidate Jill Stein earning 1 percent.

The candidates tied in the last two Ohio polls released last week, matched at 39-39 in a NBC/Wall Street Journal/Marist poll and again at 41-41 in a Quinnipiac poll.

The poll was conducted July 18-20, the first three days of the RNC, among 500 likely Ohio voters. The margin of error for this poll is 4.4 percent.
