Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton kept up a strong, 15-point lead over Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-VT) in a new national NBC/SurveyMonkey poll released Tuesday.

The online poll showed Clinton’s support at 52 percent to Bernie Sanders’ 37 percent, representing a slight decrease since last week’s NBC/SurveyMonkey poll, in which 53 percent of Democrats intended to vote for her. Conversely, it showed a slight increase in Sanders’ support from last week’s 36 percent.

Clinton has consistently outperformed Sanders in nationwide polling after his initial surge came to an end early this fall, as this poll re-affirmed. This contrasts with more even showings in Iowa and New Hampshire. The poll also showed Clinton leading Sanders with core Democratic constituencies such as Hispanics (54-33 percent) and African-Americans (63-20 percent). Clinton also had much stronger support among women (56-32 percent) than men (46-43 percent).

The NBC/SurveyMonkey poll was conducted online from Jan. 4-10. The poll surveyed 2,619 registered Democrats nationwide and had a margin of error of 2.4 percentage points.
