White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders minimized reports that federal prosecutors from the Southern District of New York subpoenaed President Trump’s inaugural committee on Monday, saying the news has “nothing to do with the White House.”
“I’m reading the same reports as you this morning, and gathering that information,” Sanders told CNN Tuesday. “What I do know at this point, this has nothing to do with the White House and for anything specific or further, I’d refer you back to the inaugural committee.”
