President Donald Trump gave former Vice President Joe Biden a warm welcome to the 2020 presidential race on Wednesday morning by issuing a warning about how “nasty” the primaries will be, calling his opponents’ views “sick and demented.”

Out of the field of contenders vying for the Democratic nomination, Trump is reportedly privately most concerned about Biden and his appeal to middle and working class voters.

After months of speculation and hedging, Biden formally announced his 2020 bid early Thursday morning, tossing his hat in an already crowded ring and progressive Democratic candidates.
