The Navy released dramatic footage on Friday of a Russian warship coming dangerously close to an American vessel in the Philippine Sea.

As CNN reported, the Russian ship came within 50 to 100 feet of the American ship. The Russians claimed they had the right of way, according to CNN.

The U.S. Navy called the Russian approach “unsafe and unprofessional.”

“This unsafe action forced Chancellorsville to execute all engines back full and to maneuver to avoid collision,” Navy spokesman Clayton Doss told CNN.
