After spending months raging against mail-in voting while spreading election fraud falsehoods, former President Trump is set to … mail in his ballot for the third time.

According a Palm Beach Post report on Monday, Trump requested a mail ballot for Palm Beach’s municipal election nearly a week after the deadline to have a ballot sent by mail.

However, requests for mail ballots can be made through Tuesday, but are required to be picked up in-person by the voter or a designee. Given Trump’s mail-in voting history during the presidential primaries last year, the former President likely had an associate fetch his mail ballot on his behalf.

The Palm Beach Post reported that there is no record of Trump’s ballot being counted as of noon Monday. Former first lady Melania Trump has not requested a mail ballot, but she may decide to vote in-person like she did for the presidential election in November.

Throughout his campaign for re-election last year, Trump falsely alleged that universal mail-in voting amid the COVID-19 pandemic leads to election fraud. Appointed by Trump, Postmaster General Louis DeJoy went so far to implement cost-cutting measures that spurred significant mail delays as the demand for mail-in ballots increased.

Trump continued his attempts to delegitimize the election process as recently as last month, when the former president delivered remarks at CPAC declaring his loyalty to the Republican Party and launching more bogus claims of widespread election fraud.
