President Trump on Wednesday boasted about the soaring stock market at a jobs event at the White House. But he cautioned that if the midterm elections don’t go Republicans’ way, “I think you’re all going to lose a lot of money.”
“I hate to say that,” Trump continued. I think you’re gonna lose a lot of money. People are waiting on your 401(k)’s and everything else. They’re waiting to see what happens with the midterms. And if it comes out good, like we think it probably will, ’cause there’s a good feeling in the air, there are a lot of people voting, go out and vote. But if it comes out good, I think the market’s gonna continue to go through a period that — like we’ve never seen before.”
