President Donald Trump on Wednesday concluded a press conference by saying it was a “very dangerous period in our country,” because anyone, he asserted, can be accused of “false” claims of sexual misconduct.
“It’s happened to me many times,” he said, referring to the multiple women who have accused him of sexual assault and other misconduct, who he has maintained are all lying.
“I could pick another Supreme Court justice. I could pick another one, another one, another one, this could go one forever,” he said, despite it being decades since the last allegation of sexual misconduct against a Supreme Court nominee.
“Somebody could come and say ’30 years ago, 25 years ago, 10 years ago, five years ago, he did a horrible thing to me.'”
Trump said “very evil people” were making fake sexual assault claims — though in reality the vast majority of sexual assaults are never reported; the people who perpetrate them rarely face consequences for their actions.
He said Democrats were playing a “con game, it’s at the highest level,” by supporting the investigation of allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. Three women have accused Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct.
“In this case, you’re guilty until proven innocent. I think that is a very, very dangerous standard for our country,” Trump said, before saying he looked forward to the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing with Kavanaugh and Christine Blasey Ford, one of the women who’s accused Kavanaugh of sexual assault, on Thursday.

Nursing note, 5:35 p.m.
Pt. overdue for reminder that lying will not make his “fingers” longer.

Still up there, no end in sight.
T/C to SecDef Mattis, req. auth to deploy tranq. dart.
He s/s “denied unless it’s for me.”
Hear that snorting and bellowing? That’s the sound an animal makes as it is going extinct.
I hope the upshot of all this is that not only is Kavanaugh not confirmed, but he loses his current position. And that Trump is personally sued by all 15 women for slander.
Which is why you’ll be nominating a woman next week, Amy Coney Barrett, who doesn’t give a fuck about your presidential legal privileges but is reliably to right of Attila the Hun. And you’re right, if you keep nominating from that DC suburb prep school pool of candidates, there very well could be more assault claims.
A mulligan supreme court justice is better than no supreme court justice.
Um… whats “LOCK HER UP!” then?
That presser was a stream of consciousness of abject stupidity.
