During an interview with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham on Monday evening, President Donald Trump dodged Ingraham’s questions about his penchant for labeling the media the “enemy of the people,” by suggesting the name-calling is his “form of telling the truth.”
“It’s a very good question. … It’s my form of telling the truth,” he said. “Here’s my problem. We have a lot of supporters. You know that better than anybody, all you have to do is look at your ratings, OK? But you know it better than anybody. Those supporters know that they’re lying. I watched ‘Meet the Press’ this weekend. Everything was so falsely put. Putting words in people’s mouths.”
Sort of like 9-11 was the hijackers’ way of landing those planes.
Donald Trump is the Mohamed Atta of P.T. Barnums.
And War is Peace.
And when do we invade Oceania or Eurasia or where ever?.
To say that tRump and the truth are complete strangers is a gross understatement. tRump is unable even to comprehend what truth is or is like, like the story of several blind men describing an elephant.
If Trump were wise, he would be profoundly grateful to the media. For the most part, for reasons good and bad, they’ve observed the Goldwater rule and not widely publicized evidence of his obvious deep mental illness. But he doesn’t do grateful.
More words. The best words. But, some assembly required for them to make sense.
Trump’s form of telling the truth is to make false vague assertions.
What I’d really like to know is … what “people” is the media the enemy of?
