President Donald Trump told the Associated Press Tuesday that his former fixer and lawyer Michael Cohen was “lying” when he said under oath in open court in August that the President had directed him to break the law.

Trump called Cohen’s testimony “totally false” and called him “a PR person who did small legal work.” It was “very sad,” Trump said, that Cohen reached a plea deal with prosecutors “to “achieve a lighter sentence.”
