House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) said Sunday he was unconcerned with the New York Times’ report that President Donald Trump ordered that his son-in-law Jared Kushner receive a top-secret security clearance despite concerns expressed by the CIA, then-White House Counsel Don McGahn and others.
In an interview with McCarthy, ABC’s George Stephanopoulos asked whether Congress had the right, as Democrats have requested, to see the CIA’s concerns about Kushner’s clearance.
“I think the President has the right to pick, just as you said, whomever he wants around,” McCarthy responded.
Stephanopoulos tried again: “Does the Congress have a right to know the concerns about Jared Kushner, and why the President overruled the CIA’s concerns?”
McCarthy was dismissive.
“I think the President looked at the concerns and the President said those weren’t concerns to him,” he said. “So he can have [Kushner] around.”
He added: “The President made the choice, and he’s doing a good job at it.”

reminder
Utter failure and betrayal of his oath of office.
Nothing more than the latest installment in The GOP Presidential King. And the evangelicals will maintain their faith in the doctrine of Presidential Infallibility.
The epitome of entrepreneurship in the era of unfettered capitalism.
This POtuS has no concerns about Jared “Full Metal Jackass” Kushner or anyone else selling our national intelligence secrets to the highest bidder. Hell, he thinks of them as following in his fetid footsteps.
And that right there is point number two of the Trump Doctrine…right behind point number one, which is “Does it personally and financially benefit me?”
