Richard “Bigo” Barnett, the Arkansas man who landed on front pages worldwide after he was photographed reclining at House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) desk and stealing her mail on Wednesday, has been arrested.
The Justice Department announced Barnett’s arrest in Arkansas during a press call Friday, multiple reporters on the call said.
The DOJ also announced charges for a Republican West Virginia state delegate who’d entered the Capitol, Derrick Evans, and the arrest of a man who allegedly had multiple molotov cocktails in his vehicle on Wednesday.
Barnett, who hammed it up inside the Capitol for photographers, became a face of the attack on the legislature due to photos of him with his feet up on Pelosi’s desk — and because, later, he bragged about stealing her mail. The Washington Post subsequently reported that Barnett had described himself as a white nationalist on the internet.

Evans, who live-streamed his breach of the the Capitol, later defended his actions by saying he was “an independent member of the media to film history.”
That was not evident while he filmed himself screaming things like “Our house!” and “We’re in, baby!”
