House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) claimed Thursday that President Donald Trump revoking a planned congressional delegation’s access to military aircraft was unprecedented. “As far as we can tell, this has never happened in the annals of congressional history,” he said.
Schiff was scheduled to travel with the delegation alongside House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and others. Speaking to the press Thursday, Schiff said Trump was out of line in discussing the congressional delegation’s plans, which are usually kept secret until after the trip is completed due to security concerns. The delegation would have traveled to Afghanistan.
“I’m not going to comment on the Speaker’s travel plans,” he told reporters. “Frankly, there has been far too much said about that already. I think the President’s decision to disclose a trip that a Speaker was making to a war zone was completely and utterly irresponsible in every way.”

Just a regular day: shooting down McCarthy. Trump sets them up and Dems knock them down. Beautiful.
Never pick a fight with a man who buys subpoenas by the forklift.
At this point, I’d rather they just self-deport to Russia. Edit: Yesterday, self-deport, yesterday.
Wait, I thought DoD was fully funded during the shutdown. It isn’t like they’re going to go via Coast Guard, those useless hacks.
Schiff makes a good point. You don’t send a high government official to a war zone announced. The Trump administration has demonstrated that it is utterly unreliable by announcing Pelosi’s plans.
