White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders pounced on James Comey Tuesday, a day after the former FBI director criticized President Trump for “attacking the rule of law in this country.”
“I think the last person that we’re gonna take any lecture from about the values of this country is from a self-admitted liar and leaker that we know James Comey to be,” Sanders told Fox News.
“There’s is no doubt that he did a tremendous number of things wrong and brought outrageous corruption to the FBI,” she added. “He led it with a political bias that is unheard of at an agency like that.”
Comey had harsh words for President Trump on Monday after he testified before the House Oversight and Judiciary committees, saying that “the President of the United States is lying about the FBI, attacking the FBI, and attacking the rule of law in this country.”
