Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) tried to correct Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) on Twitter Tuesday after she said the future is “female” and “intersectional.”

That apparently didn’t sit well with the Republican senator.

“Our future is: AMERICAN,” he tweeted.
