With 10 Republicans running in Mark Harris’ stead in North Carolina’s 9th District re-do race, there is a need to distinguish yourself from the pack.
Candidate and former Mecklenburg County commissioner Matthew Ridenhour did so Friday, posting possibly the worst photoshop ever crafted on his campaign Facebook page to link Democrat Dan McCready with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).
Neither campaign immediately returned a request for comment.
The Republican primary for the re-do election — the first race was tossed due to allegations of absentee ballot fraud which have resulted in multiple arrests and an ongoing investigation — will be held on May 14. McCready, who also ran in the original race, is the only Democrat running.
