NEW YORK (AP) — Police are looking for a man wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat and shirt who pushed another man onto New York City subway tracks while shouting anti-Hispanic slurs at him.
The assault happened Friday evening at Manhattan’s Union Square subway station. Police say the attacker — a heavyset black man wearing items with President Donald Trump’s campaign slogan on them — directed anti-Hispanic slurs at the victim while both men were on a train.
They say he then followed the victim off the train, punched him in the head and pushed him onto the tracks.
The victim was helped back onto the platform by a friend and another person. He was treated for a cut to his head at a hospital.
How is the red hat not viewed as a swastika? We have sworn to never forget. Murders have happened for that red hat already. We don’t need any more murders to say: no more.
A black guy in a MAGA hat. I’m getting a mixed message here. Tho I’m certain that for the guy that was pushed onto the tracks, the message was crystal clear.
The grotesque words of Donald Trump give license to this type of behavior.
Must be one of the subset of “What do you have to lose” voters.
Just what the Republicans are hoping for – pitting minorities against other minorities. Right now, it’s the Latinos and Middle Easterners who are on the bottom of the ladder, so they’re the easiest targets (right dRumpt?).
