A hokey, dream-like painting of President Donald Trump chumming it up with Republican presidents of decades past — which was gifted to Trump by Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) — is hanging up in the White House.
The painting can be seen hanging on the wall in a screengrab of Trump’s recent interview with “60 Minutes,” flagged by Independent Journal Review editor Josh Billinson.

The painting features a trim Trump, sharing drinks with — Trump’s beverage is presumably a soda — former Presidents Dwight Eisenhower, Richard Nixon, Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush.
According to the Daily Beast, Trump loves the illustration, which many on Twitter have likened to the political version of the famous painting of dogs playing poker. Trump was so enamored of Issa’s gift, he called the artist, Andy Thomas, to tell him how much he liked it.
“He was very complimentary,” Thomas told the Daily Beast. “He made a comment that he’d seen a lot of paintings of himself and he rarely liked them.”
Thomas, who claims his work is non-partisan, has also crafted similar paintings of former Democratic presidents playing pool together.

Edit
Darrel Issa has a wicked sense of humour …
Yes, Trump is rich because he inherited hundreds of millions of dollars. But if you were to guess by his tackiness and bad taste you’d think that he grew up in a trailer park in the middle of Redneckia.
OMG, how could Leslie see that painting and not say something? Or at least burst out laughing.
Miro would make his head explode.
Where’s “Dogs Playing Poker”?
