Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), one of two of the first Muslim women to serve in Congress, reacted to the “horrific act” in New Zealand on — when a gunman opened fire at two mosques, leaving 49 people dead — by encouraging fellow Muslims to “face fear” and not let the attack intimidate them from attending prayers on Friday.
“So, my reaction really is, you know, this is a horrific act and today is Jumu’ah and a lot of people are saying, you know, ‘stay home. Don’t pray,’ but that’s a win for those that seek to terrorize us,” she told MSNBC while attending a youth climate change event on Friday.
“So we must face fear and we must remember that love trumps hate all the time,” she continued. “And I ask Muslims around the world to go and do their Jumu’ah prayers and I ask our friends and our neighbors to stand in solidarity with them.”

Well, that’s a lot better than George W telling Americans to go out and shop or the terrorists would win.
Interesting to recall that just a few days ago, several Republicans wouldn’t vote for a condemnation of all forms of bigotry (not just antisemitism). They said it made the condemnation meaningless.
Dems: “Love trumps hate.”
GOP: "Love Trump’s hate!"
I wonder how Faux News will spin this?
Or something like that…
You mean she’s branching out from anti-Semitism?
