WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama is offering his prayers for the families of the two Americans killed in the bombings in Brussels and telling Belgians that “America has their back” in the fight against terrorism.

In his weekly radio and Internet address, Obama is renewing his vow to continue the campaign against the Islamic State, which took credit for the attacks. He says U.S. officials are working with allies to root out the group’s operations in Europe.

Obama says U.S. officials have ramped up intelligence cooperation and that FBI agents are in Belgium assisting with the investigation into the bombings.

The president says he and allies will review the U.S.-led air campaign and special operations against IS when world leaders gather in Washington next week for a summit on nuclear security.

  4. A thoughtful, measured response by a President who continues to prove worthy of my respect and appreciation, and tower head and heels above any of the GOP candidates.

While I continue to wish a third term were possible, I also continue to regard Secretary Clinton as a worthy successor because of the thoughtful, measured, way in which she presents her positive message of healing and progress.
