First lady Melania Trump took a government plane to fly to Florida for the weekend, Politico Playbook reported, after it was flagged by a Twitter account that monitors civilian and military air travel.

The trip is notable given President Trump’s recent decision to bar Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) from using military aircraft to fly to Brussels and Afghanistan — effectively canceling the trip to visit troops — citing the government shutdown.

Most see the move as a petty retaliation against Pelosi for asking him to postpone the State of the Union until after the government is reopened.
