House Minority leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) on Sunday ripped Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI)’s “impeachable conduct” comment, claiming that Amash was “just looking for attention.”
McCarthy appeared on “Sunday Morning Features” on Fox News to push back against Amash’s Saturday remark about President Donald Trump engaging in “impeachable conduct.”
“It’s a question whether he’s even in our Republican conference as a whole,” McCarthy said.
“This is exactly what you would expect,” the GOP leader said later in the interview. “He never supported the President and I think he’s just looking for attention.”
Amash’s comment has sparked backlash from not only McCarthy, but also GOP chairwoman Ronna McDaniel and Trump himself.
Trump called Amash a “total lightweight” and a “loser,” while McDaniel said he was “parroting the Democrats’ talking points on Russia.”

Yet his constituents have no problem with that, so STFU.
Every single Republican who opines on Amash should be asked a simple question: have you read the entire Mueller Report? If not, their opinion lacks credibility.
Bets on whether Amash switch’s to D before or after he gets primaries?
“Come and get your love…come and get your love.”
Trump, the woman formerly known as Romney, and now McCarthy are pushing back hard against Amash, almost as if they’re afraid of something.
By the way, is McCarthy the designated goon now for Republicans? Seems like he’s done this before on the Sunday shows and seems ill-suited to the task, mostly due to his deer in the headlights appearance.
