A conservative candidate running in the Arizona Republican primary to replace Sen. Jeff Flake (R) told MSNBC on Sunday that alt-right figure Mike Cernovich has “an audience that we want to reach,” before backtracking to claim she wants to reach all audiences.

Cernovich is reportedly set to travel on a tour bus for candidate Kelli Ward, who also said earlier in the interview that “Trump’s base is Kelli Ward’s base, my base.” Cernovich is widely regarded as a far-right conspiracy theorist and was the main propagator of the “pizzagate” conspiracy that attempted to tie Hillary Clinton to a child prostitution ring.

During her interview with MSNBC, Ward appeared to not understand what alt-right even meant nor that Cernovich was scheduled to be on her campaign’s bus tour.

“Mike Cernovich has an audience that we want to reach and that includes Republicans, conservatives, liberals, Democrats, people of all ilks,” she said. “If he’s coming on the bus tour, I think that he’ll have a voice and he’ll have something that he wants to say, but I know that my campaign is about faith, family and freedom.”

  1. It’s surprising Cernovich isn’t leery of the chem-trail poisoning risk while traveling on Ward’s bus.

  3. I’m waiting for the big reveal when Sacha Baron Cohen takes off his Kelli Ward makeup and we all realize her candidacy was just a stunt on his Showtime reality show.

  4. “People of all ilks” is marvelous. Charmingly idiotic.

  5. “If he’s coming on the bus tour, I think that he’ll have a voice and he’ll have something that he wants to say," Wow, she lets strangers on her tour bus with her, to say things she has no idea they are are going to say? Good plan, Kelli. What could go wrong.
