Jon Stewart is hurt. A man he respects and cares “very deeply” for called him racist over a few Daily Show segments focusing on Herman Cain’s sexual harassment allegations.
“You know, look, I’ve taken criticism before, being called a racist, stupid, an asshole,” Stewart said. “It goes with being a dick for a living. It’s an occupational hazard. But this one hurts because of how much I respect Donald Trump.”
After all, Stewart said, Trump is a sophisticated man who eats his pizza with a fork. And he has an excellent relationships with “the blacks.”
Stewart then turned his attention to Ann Coulter, who called conservative “blacks” better than liberal “blacks.”
“Even I’m offended by that,” Stewart said, “and I’m a racist.”
