Sorry Ivanka, even you aren’t safe from your dad’s well-established pattern of publicly throwing people under the bus.
Ivanka Trump, ex-President Donald Trump’s eldest daughter who served as a White House adviser, struck a massive blow to her father’s fake narrative about the 2020 election on Thursday night, when the House Jan. 6 Committee aired her recorded testimony that she had “accepted” then-Attorney General Bill Barr’s assessment that there wasn’t evidence of widespread voter fraud.
And the former president didn’t let that slide on Friday morning.
To hear Trump tell it, his daughter didn’t know what she was talking about, didn’t really care about her job and was just being nice to Barr (who sucked, by the way!).
“Ivanka Trump was not involved in looking at, or studying, Election results,” he wrote on his fake Twitter app, TRUTH Social. “She had long since checked out and was, in my opinion, only trying to be respectful to Bill Barr and his position as Attorney General (he sucked!).”
The House Jan. 6 Committee unveiled Ivanka Trump’s testimony during the panel’s first public hearing to establish how the ex-president’s own inner circle didn’t believe the 2020 election had been stolen.
Key evidence lay in Ivanka Trump’s response to the committee asking her during her interview how Barr shooting down her father’s voter fraud lies affected how she saw the election.
“It affected my perspective. I respect Attorney General Barr,” she replied. “So I accepted what he was saying.”
However, the former president’s jab at his daughter on Friday was nothing compared to the way he roasted Barr (who sucked!) as he was having a full-on meltdown over the hearing.
“Bill Barr was a weak and frightened Attorney General who was always being ‘played’ and threatened by the Democrats and was scared stiff of being Impeached,” Trump ranted.
Barr was also “stupid” and a “coward” (and sucked!), according to the former president.
Trump also denied Jan. 6 committee vice chair Liz Cheney’s (R-WY) revelation that he had said then-Vice President Mike Pence “deserves” to be hanged as MAGA supporters were chanting “Hang Mike Pence!” while storming the Capitol.
“This is either a made up story by somebody looking to become a star, or FAKE NEWS!” Trump fumed.
The former president ended his tirade with a howl about – what else? – the Russia probe.
“Same group that brought you the FAKE, RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA HOAX!!!” he screeched.
Trump is just slipping away. Bye-bye.
Note that even after all of her daddy’s conflict with Barr Ivanka says “respect” in the present tense…

I think from here on in, any time TFG’s name appears in print, it should likewise always be followed by “(he sucked!).”
I have suspected that TFG has been lurking here at TPM for years and has developed a taste for the unique communication style perfected by @theghostofeustacetilley. The random capitalizations and chatterbox diarrhea are derivative but not to the connoisseur-level ranting that you find here.
(Oh, and anyone who throws his daughter under the bus, even if she exhibits behaviors and professes beliefs that abhor normal people, that person deserves nothing but to steep forever in one’s own putrid essence.)
It’s so incredibly weird that DJT’s daughter ever mattered in national politics. That whole episode is a crying shame.
