Due to Sen. Mike Enzi’s impending retirement, a seat in Wyoming will be open in 2020: and it’s Rep. Liz Cheney’s (R-WY) for the taking.

Per Politico, House and Senate Republicans are playing tug-of-war over one of their rare female members, seeing her as a major boon to both chambers both merit- and optics-wise.

Cheney has months to decide yet, and to weigh the tantalizing opportunities both camps are no doubt whispering in her ear. Does she want to be Speaker one day? Secretary of Defense? Even President?

  1. Let’s hope this “tug-of-war” results in Liz’s dismemberment.

  2. “seeing her as a major boon to both chambers both merit- and optics-wise.”

  4. Yeah but I don’t see her as useful to GOP in Congress. She’s not likely to have any “coattails”.
