Harold Ford Jr. — the former Democratic Congressman from Tennessee who may challenge Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) — is now blogging.

Ford, already famous for some unfortunate interviews (including one where he said he had visited New York City’s boroughs by helicopter), is writing posts for an “unofficial” blog called the Ford Report.

In a post Sunday, he wrote about a recent visit to Syracuse, attacking Gillibrand for not visiting more often.

“I learned that Senator Gillibrand hasn’t spent much time in Syracuse since being appointed Senator last year. It was reported this morning in the local newspaper that Senator Gillibrand has been to central New York only twice since she’s been Senator,” he wrote.

“I’ve been once in the past 2 weeks since starting my tour across New York,” he continued.

He also lauded Syracuse Mayor Stephanie Miner for being an “outsider.”

“Mayor Stephanie Miner won running as an outsider, enjoying the support of Senator Schumer,” he wrote.

Ford is trying to paint himself as a Washington outsider, accusing both Gillibrand and Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) of being beholden to the Democratic Party and not being independent enough.

Ford’s spokesman, Davidson Goldin, confirmed that Ford has been writing the posts.

Ford has not officially announced a run.
