Sen. John Barrasso (R-WY) on Sunday brushed aside concerns that President Donald Trump was dishonest with voters during the 2016 presidential campaign about his company’s pursuit of a project in Moscow.
Though Trump’s repeated claims that he had nothing to do with Russia are now undercut by his former lawyer and fixer Michael Cohen admitting that, in fact, the Trump Organization was in talks with Russian officials about a potential building project in Moscow during the 2016 campaign, Barrasso told NBC News’ Chuck Todd: “The President is an international businessman. I’m not surprised he was doing international business.”
He added: “There were so many things involved in the 2016 campaign it’s hard to point to what one thing influenced voters.”

“There were so many things involved in the 2016 campaign it’s hard to point to what one thing influenced voters.”
Not so hard to point to what one thing influenced the candidate, though, is it?
So’s the gentleman pictured below. Not every international exchange of value is legal or ethical, Johnnie.
Barrasso shrugs at a conflict of interest, or at the very least, the appearance of a conflict of interest for the Republican nominee for President of the United States. Where are the damned tax returns, Donnie??
