Gayle King would like Fox News host Jesse Watters to know that black people don’t all look the same.
During an appearance on “The Late Show” with Stephen Colbert Thursday, King addressed Watters’ backhanded compliment for “totally redeeming herself after the Smollett fiasco.” Fellow Fox host Dana Perino had to tell Watters that it was ABC reporter Robin Roberts who interviewed Jussie Smollett, not King.
King said she privately thanked Perino for correcting Watters, and made one simple request to her: “Could you let the rest of your colleagues know that all black people do not look alike?”
Watch King’s response below:
Gail King is getting real props for doing fact based interviews without a lot of sturm und drang. I like how she dropped the “I don’t watch Fox” line.
Waters is just some annoying frat boy playing the low rent bigot version of Allen Funt from Candid Camera.
This incredibly handsome young black man with a smile that will knock your socks off, is currently in my home installing some new drapes for us. Without a doubt; not all black people look alike, nor brown people, nor yellow people, nor white people. We are all individuals with our own particular traits, even for twins. This young man’s gorgeousness, quiet charm, smile and essence of being has brightened this last of the dreary winter days so much.
We are all beautiful in our own ways.
OK…there might be a few exceptions…looking at you Mitch.
Then why do theY aLLmlooK thE sAme? ALso people From thE orient?
They don’t even kind of look alike. Not even sorta, kinda in the right light. They have totally different skin tones and hairstyles. It’s like confusing Lester Holt and Samuel L. Jackson.
Whaaaaaat??? And here I thought this Lester Holt thing was a new role for Samuel L Jackson.
