Fox News host Chris Wallace on Sunday asked Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to explain President Trump’s perception of his relationship with North Korean regime leader Kim Jong-un.
During an interview on “Fox News Sunday,” Wallace played a clip of Trump proclaiming at a campaign rally that he and Kim “fell in love.”
“Why did the President say that?” Wallace asked.
“Relationships matter, Chris,” Pompeo replied. “They affect everything in our lives, whether it’s grand strategy in denuclearization or simpler things. Relationships absolutely matter, it’s important that the true leaders are able to effectively communicate. I have observed this over the past weeks and months, I watch them exchange messages, I watched our team understand the messages that
the two leaders are providing.”
On Monday afternoon, Trump will leave the U.S. for Vietnam, where he and Kim will hold a second summit to discuss North Korea’s denuclearization.

“Unless you are a part of NATO, or one of our allies. Then you can fuck off.”
For the first time in my life I feel sorry for Kim.
I very much hope Wallace asked some tough follow-up questions.
