The former White House counsel for President Obama’s administration, Greg Craig, expects he will be indicted as early as Thursday, The Wall Street Journal reported.

Craig is expected to be indicted for making false statements to the Justice Department over work he did in Ukraine in 2012, people familiar with the situation told the WSJ.

“This case was thoroughly investigated by the SDNY and that office decided not to pursue charges against Mr. Craig. We expect an indictment by the D.C. U.S. Attorney’s Office at the request of the National Security Division. Mr. Craig is not guilty of any charge and the government’s stubborn insistence on prosecuting Mr. Craig is a misguided abuse of prosecutorial discretion,” Craig’s lawyers said in a statement to the WSJ.

  1. So an Obama Democrat was behind everything that’s happened on the Mueller front in the last two years. I knew it.

  2. They really are desperate to find a “both sides do it” example, aren’t they?

  3. Hey, Hillary killed Vince Foster. So, there’s that.

  4. Welp one bad Democrat, you know what that means: Both sides! BOTH SIDES!! I’m sure the media will play this up endlessly for weeks, especially the goons at Fox “News” with their commitment to being “fair and balanced” and all that…

  5. “Ex-Obama WH Counsel To Be Indicted” falsely connects the Obama administration to this man’s alleged crimes. He was not part of the administration when the alleged incident took place and so the fact that he did at one time serve has no bearing on this news.

I understand why the MSM keeps using these headlines, but TPM should know better. Josh, this is sloppy journalism.
