Blackwater founder Erik Prince made light of his January 2017 meeting with an official from the United Arab Emirates and a Russian banker in the Seychelles, saying it “lasted as long as a beer” and was “much ado about nothing,” according to a Wednesday Hill report.

“People can read my congressional testimony,” Prince said. “I was there for a couple of hours. I was there to meet with some Emiratis, and like I said, they said I should meet this Russian guy.”

Prince has denied that he was there to represent the U.S., though the meeting gained attention when it was revealed that Special Counsel Robert Mueller was investigating it. Prince spoke to Mueller’s team, though he says he “hasn’t heard from them in months.”
