Carlos Allen, a D.C. party planner, was identified last night by the Washington Post as the third state dinner crasher. But, in an interview with Politico, Allen denied that he even attended the party.
TPM has found a photo of Allen posing with one of the original crashers, Michaele Salahi. It seems the Salahis and Allen traveled in the same D.C. social circles.
The Secret Service announced yesterday that there was a third crasher at the White House that night, but declined to provide any details as to the person’s identity. The Service revealed only that the crasher arrived with the Indian delegation and underwent security screening at a local hotel.
The Post says a “congressional source” named Allen as the third crasher. He later told Politico three times, “I did not attend the state dinner.”
A blog, Ask Miss A, claimed in early December that Allen had crashed the dinner. The blog also pointed out that Allen is Facebook friends with the Salahis’ former lawyer, Paul Gardner.
According to the web site of Allen’s business, HUSH Galleria, Gardner hosted a “Beyonce After Party.” In photos from the event, Allen can be seen posing with Michaele Salahi.
HUSH (which stands for Help Us Support Humanity) is involved in event-planning and philanthropy, according to the site, and is based at a D.C. “mansion” on 18th St. NW.
The property appears to be for sale for $950,000, with a listing on a web site registered by Allen.
A call to Allen was not immediately returned.
