After President Trump received a public lashing from his base’s most prominent media figures over his support of a continuing resolution that would kick the can on border wall funding down the road to February, Trump reversed course and has kept the government partially closed for a dozen days and counting.

But Trump’s forced shutdown over wall funding hasn’t appeased all of his fans-turned-critics.

During an interview on the “Mark Simone Show” on Wednesday, conservative talk radio host and author Ann Coulter acknowledged her “tiff” with Trump.

“The President and I have had a little tiff,” she said, referencing her comments in the days before the shutdown when she claimed that if Trump rolled over on wall funding he would have “no legacy whatsoever” as President.  “For one thing, he actually did shut down the government — though don’t worry, he’ll fold in the end.”

Coulter remained critical of Trump on Wednesday and confirmed that the President had unfollowed her on Twitter after her remarks before the shutdown.

“I don’t mind him quitting as a follower, I mind him quitting as a leader, that’s of a little more importance to the country,” she said.

Coulter, Laura Ingraham, Rush Limbaugh and other conservative pundits have been credited with changing Trump’s mind on supporting the bipartisan temporary spending bill.
