President Donald Trump commented on the debate surrounding the comments of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) Friday, labeling Democrats as the “anti-Jewish party.”
“I thought yesterday’s vote by the House was disgraceful because it has become, the Democrats have become an anti-Israel party, the anti-Jewish party,” Trump said of the resolution against hate passed Thursday. “I thought that vote was a disgrace and so does everybody else if you get an honest answer. If you get an honest answer from politicians, they thought it was a disgrace. The Democrats have become an anti-Israel party and anti-Jewish party and that’s too bad.”

Trump himself has earned recriminations of anti-Semitism before, when he accused liberal donor George Soros of funding a caravan of immigrants and said that there were “fine people on both sides” of the Charlottesville clash involving white supremacists who yelled “Jews will not replace us.”
Just a guess, but I’d bet there are significantly more Jews who are Democrat’s than Republican’s.
So then how come the people chanting “The Jews will not replace us.” tended to be Trump supporters?
So a person with a noted record of hiring anti-semites, saying anti-semitic things, using anti-semitic tropes in campaigns, and saying that a group of people who said ‘Jews will not replace us’ are very fine people is attacking the Democratic Party for passing a resolution condemning anti-semitism.
This is Trump leading with his chin again. People need to hit him on that chin.
“If you get an honest answer” = Agree with me.
That’s not how that works.
This must deeply anger so many of his supporters who hate Democrats.
