The audience at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) responded angrily to conservative writer Mona Charen Saturday afternoon when she called out Republicans for embracing accused sexual harassers including failed Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore and President Donald Trump.

“I’m disappointed in people on our side for being hypocrites about sexual harassers and abusers of women who are in our party, who are sitting in the White House, who brag about their extra-marital affairs, who brag about mistreating women,” Charen said. “And because he has an R after his name, we look the other way, we don’t complain.”

Charen, who works at the Ethics and Public Policy Center and writes a column for the National Review, was cut off by booing and shouts from the angry crowd, who yelled out “Not true,” “Prove it,” and “It’s a witch hunt.”

“This is a party that was ready to endorse Roy Moore for the Senate in Alabama even though he was a credibly accused child molester,” Charen continued. “You cannot claim you stand for women and put up with that.”

The crowd booed Charen again when she said it was a “disgrace” that CPAC invited far-right French politician Marion LePen to speak earlier in the week.

“Her grandfather is a racist and Nazi. She claims she stands for him,” Charen said.

The crowd was so angry following the panel that Charen reportedly had to be escorted out of the room by multiple security guards.
