As part of his opening testimony before the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday, President Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen intends to share evidence that Trump personally reimbursed him for a hush payment he made during the campaign to porn actress Stormy Daniels to keep her quiet about an alleged affair with Trump.

Cohen will claim that he was paid $35,000 monthly as part of the reimbursement for the hush payment, which could be a violation of campaign finance rules. At least one of those checks, obtained by CNN, is emblazoned with Trump’s distinct signature.
