After the arrest of former Trump associate Roger Stone, ex-CIA Director John Brennan told MSNBC Friday that the indictment shows that Russian interference in the 2016 election may have been coordinated from “the very top of the Trump campaign.”

When asked what “story” special counsel Robert Mueller is trying to tell with each indictment, Brennan said Mueller is showing Russian interference was “extensive.”

“That there was an extensive effort to try to influence the outcome of the election that involved the Russians, that involved U.S. persons and that may have gone to the very top of the Trump campaign,” he said. “And so I think the shoes that are yet to drop are going to be the ones that are going to be the most profound and that will hit the people at the top of the organization.”
