JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) — Alaska Republican party leaders plan to consider whether to reprimand U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski for opposing Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation.
The party has asked Murkowski to provide any information she might want its state central committee to consider.
Party Chairman Tuckerman Babcock says the committee could decide to issue a statement. Or he says it could withdraw support of Murkowski, encourage party officials to look for a replacement and ask that she not seek re-election as a Republican. He says the party took that more extreme step previously with state legislators who caucused with Democrats.
He says all this follows outrage from Alaska Republicans.
Murkowski told reporters that if she worried about political repercussions she wouldn’t be able to do the job Alaskans expect her to do.
Oh you just go ahead Chairman Tuckerman Babcock, can you really afford to lose the Alaskan Federation of Natives? Law and Order only applies to certain Alaskans.
Last time I checked, she was an independent who caucused with Republicans because some neck-bearded paulertarian douche-bro won the Republican primary and the Alaska GOP (with a “central committee?” Really?) supported him over her. But have at it guys. By all means see if you can push her out. I’d be more than happy to have her caucus with the Democrats next Congress.
Suicide Death Cult Complains Murkowski Not Suicidy Enough
I’m sure she’s quaking in her fur-lined boots. The GOP tried to get rid of her 2 years ago, look how that turned out.
Every stinking Senator who voted for the little puke has totally ignored the fact that Kavanaugh lied to the committee and to the American people. The fact that he lied about many issues is enough to vote “no”. Everyone is focused on the industrial-grade bullshit about Kavanaugh not being the one who assaulted Ford; the fact that he lied is what even Flake said merited a “no” vote. (And an issue we must hammer home, over and over, is that the Supreme Court now has no credibility; it’s nothing but a partisan cesspool of conservative politics)
