The Office of the Director of National Intelligence just announced that an unclassified version of the Iraq National Intelligence Estimate’s key judgments will be released tomorrow at 12:30. Expect a grim report, as the NIE is titled, “Prospects for Iraqâs Stability: A Challenging Road Ahead,” but as we learned in 2002, there can be a huge difference in tone and substance between the classified and declassified versions — as well as the key judgments and the actual body of the NIE.
