It’s still limited to 140 characters, but Twitter on Wednesday announced that it will begin adding more information to selected tweets, such as a preview of articles tweeted by The New York Times, The New York Times, The San Francisco Chronicle and German newspaper Der Spiegel, as well as the authors’ Twitter handles. Tweets by image-heavy websites like Buzzfeed and TMZ will get image previews, and video websites Dailymotion and Lifetime will be able to share short video clips in their tweets.
