President Donald Trump said Friday that there’s a change Christine Blasey Ford could prompt him to end his support for Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
“It’s possible I’ll hear that and I’ll say, ‘Hey, I’m changing my mind.’ That is possible,” Trump said, referring to Blasey Ford’s expected testimony at a Senate hearing on Thursday. “I could be persuaded.”
While answering the question, Trump repeatedly suggested that the public would hear from several women, even though only one accuser is scheduled to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday.
“We want to give them a chance to speak,” Trump said, prompting a reporter to ask if all three women who have made allegations should testify.
“Well, whoever is given a chance, we’ve delayed it a long time. But they’re going to have a big shot,” he replied.
Trump made the comments after claiming that Kavanaugh is facing “false accusations in certain cases.”
The President has so far defended Kavanaugh amid sexual misconduct allegations, and he has even ramped up his defense of the nominee as more women come forward with accounts of Kavanaugh’s inappropriate behavior with women while he was in high school and college. Earlier on Wednesday, he claimed that the latest accusations against Kavanaugh are part of a “con game” ginned up by Democrats and emphasized his dislike for “low-life” Michael Avenatti, the lawyer representing Kavanaugh’s latest accuser.
Yes. And monkeys could come flying out of his butt.
He is mentally ill.
Just like at the UN Security Council, nobody here gives a flying f*** what you believe.
Apparently Avenatti is a “low-life” for representing a porn star… that you were banging while your wife was pregnant. OK…
This dude is totally delusional. Not one complete sentence yet.
Please Press Corp, just once, ask him a hard question, one that requires a number or percentage as an answer. Stop with these fluff, gossipy questions that you never would have asked Obama or even Bush for that matter.
