A spokeswoman for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s campaign justified barring a group of Univision reporters from a rally on Friday because the real estate mogul is suing the network, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Univision anchor Jorge Ramos tweeted that reporters for the Spanish language network were barred from the event at the Trump National Doral hotel in Florida.
Journalists from Univision were not allowed to cover a Donald Trump political event today in Doral, Florida.

Ramos was infamously booted from a Trump news conference in August.
“Go back to Univision,” Trump told Ramos, who had interrupted him to ask about undocumented immigrants.
Trump and Univision have been on rocky terms since the beginning of the summer when the network announced it was severing ties with the businessman for his comments on undocumented immigrants and wouldn’t air his Miss USA pageant show.
Trump had said he would sue the network over its refusal to air the show.
The lawsuit was cited Friday by his spokeswoman, Hope Hicks, when asked about the journalists at the Florida event.
“Mr. Trump is suing Univision for $500 million and until that is resolved it is a conflict of interest,” Hicks said in an email to The Hollywood Reporter without providing any more information.
Univision did not immediately respond to The Hollywood Reporter’s request for comment.
This is an excellent presidential strategy. Sue ISIL so that you don’t have to talk about them.
Better Presidenting Through Trump!
Conflict of Trump’s interests.
I think he literally can’t conceive of a person or organization reporting the facts objectively or dealing with someone fairly in general despite some sort of conflict like that. He can’t see past his own pettiness. I don’t know where his wealth puts him, but as a butthead he’s certainly in the top 1 percent.
The screening process to even get into a Trump event is brutal for minorities.
Could it be that he wants to stay in a cocoon…a safe place and he sees Univison a threat to that?
