Democratic presidential candidate and former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley joined Trevor Noah on Monday’s episode of “The Daily Show” to talk about gun control and being the sexiest presidential contender.
“I feel like I should have added to your credentials: Governor, Presidential candidate and sexiest candidate, according to Twitter,” Noah said.
“When the average age of the other contenders is over 60, that’s not a hard thing to achieve,” O’Malley said.
But Noah was insistent. “You look like a President,” he said. “I would look into your eyes and I was like, if I could vote, I would vote for you.”
When Noah asked about specific policy changes in an O’Malley White House, the former governor highlighted gun control and how he instituted reform in Maryland.
“We are the only developed country on the planet that buries so much of its citizens as we do year in and year out from gun violence,” O’Malley said. “We have to do something practical about it.”
